Fees and charges on Neighbourly: what each type of user pays

A breakdown of fees for members of the public, charities, and businesses

This article explains what fees apply on Neighbourly depending on who you are.

I am a member of the public making a donation

A 5% transaction fee is charged on every donation to cover payment provider costs. This is deducted automatically. If you include a Gift Aid declaration, that portion is exempt from the fee. There are no other charges for members of the public.

I am a charity receiving public donations

Public donations appear in your Stripe account minus the 5% transaction fee. Gift Aid declarations are exempt from the fee. There are no charges for charities to use the Neighbourly platform itself — it is free for charities and community organisations.

I am a charity receiving corporate grant funding

There are no fees charged to charities on corporate grant funding. The full grant amount is paid to the charity.

I am a business

Businesses require a paid licence to use the Neighbourly platform. Licence costs depend on your requirements and business size and are typically on an annual subscription basis. The minimum grant donation to a single charity through a programme is £500. For pricing, schedule a discovery call at hub.neighbourly.com/business-enquiry.

Is Neighbourly free for charities?

Yes — the platform is completely free for charities, community organisations, and individuals to use. Costs only apply to businesses (licence) and to members of the public making donations (5% transaction fee).
