Joining Neighbourly as a business: licences, costs and getting started

How businesses can join Neighbourly, what programmes are available, and how to get started

This article explains how businesses can join Neighbourly, what programmes are available, and how to get started.

What support can my business give through Neighbourly?

Businesses can work with Neighbourly to deliver three types of programme:

  • Employee volunteering — connecting your staff with local charities and good causes
  • Financial donations — running grant programmes to fund local charities and community groups
  • Surplus redistribution — donating unsold or surplus food and products to charities

How much does it cost?

Licence costs depend on your requirements and business size. Licences typically run on an annual or longer subscription basis. The minimum grant donation to a single charity is £500.

How long does it take to get started?

Volunteering and financial donation programmes typically take 1–2 months to set up. Surplus programme setup time depends on requirements and scale.

How do I enquire about a licence?

Schedule a discovery call with the Neighbourly business team at hub.neighbourly.com/business-enquiry. You can also explore services and submit an enquiry from the business page on the Neighbourly website.

How are charities vetted?

All charities and good causes are fully vetted before being connected to business programmes. Verified charities display a blue tick; non-profits and community groups display a green tick. Organisations are re-verified annually or sooner if needed.

Do employees need a risk assessment or volunteering policy?

It is recommended that employees complete a risk assessment before volunteering. Neighbourly can provide a risk assessment template and volunteer policy template clauses during onboarding.
