Stripe: payment processing on Neighbourly

What Stripe is, why Neighbourly uses it, and when charities receive their funds

This article explains what Stripe is and how payment processing works on Neighbourly.

What is Stripe?

Stripe is an international online payment provider that processes card payments safely and securely. Neighbourly does not see any of your account details — they are held solely with Stripe. Many well-known organisations use Stripe, including Comic Relief, Apple Pay, and Deliveroo. For more information visit stripe.com/gb.

When will we receive funds donated by the public?

Public donations appear in your Stripe account (minus the 5% fee) immediately after they are made. The first payment from your Stripe account to your bank account is made seven days after the date of your first donation. After this, payments are made on a seven-day rolling basis.

How will my payment be handled as a donor?

All donations must be made by payment card and are processed securely by Stripe. Once approved, Stripe arranges the transfer of funds to the chosen charity.
