Surplus: B&Q Community Reuse programme
How charities can apply to receive non-food product donations from B&Q stores
This article explains how to apply to receive product donations from B&Q through the Community Reuse programme.
What is the B&Q Community Reuse programme?
The B&Q Community Reuse programme involves B&Q stores donating unsellable but usable products to local charities and community groups. Donations are ad-hoc and vary widely, including building materials, timber, paint, plants, and other DIY goods.
How do I set this up?
- Set up a Neighbourly page if you haven't already, making sure it includes a detailed summary of your organisation and specifically how you will use B&Q donations.
- Your page will require vetting, usually completed within 10 days.
- Once you receive an email confirming approval, contact the Neighbourly team and let them know the specific B&Q store you would like to be matched with.
Note: donations are ad-hoc, not scheduled, so collection timing will vary.
