Volunteering: finding and signing up for opportunities
How to find volunteering opportunities on Neighbourly as a corporate employee or individual volunteer
This article explains how to find and sign up for volunteering opportunities on Neighbourly. The process differs depending on whether you are volunteering through your employer or as an individual.
I am volunteering through my employer — how do I get started?
Sign up for a Neighbourly account using your company's magic link — contact your programme administrator to get this. Once signed up, visit neighbourly.com/volunteering to browse opportunities approved by your company. When signing up for an event, enter your company volunteering code to ensure your hours count towards your employer's volunteering reports. If you cannot find your code, check your onboarding emails or contact support@neighbourly.com.
I am an individual volunteer — how do I get started?
Create an account at neighbourly.com/accounts/register/user, then visit neighbourly.com/volunteering to browse all available opportunities.
What happens after I register interest?
The charity is notified once you register interest. When they create an event, you'll receive an email invitation to sign up. If the date doesn't work, click 'Can't attend event' on the event page.
Can I log volunteering that didn't happen through Neighbourly?
Yes — if you are a corporate employee, you can log off-platform volunteering hours. Go to the Volunteering section of your home dashboard and click 'Log off-platform hours'. The charity will receive an email to verify your activity, after which it will appear in your employer's reports and your volunteering history.
